Production Development Manager (ISO 13485, Design Control, NPI) - up to £55,000



Production Development Manager (ISO 13485, Design Control, NPI) Role overview:

* Take charge of the Design Control and Product Development activities
* Responsible for the Company's Design Control activities, including management of sub-contracted manufacturing partners, test houses and other suppliers
* Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable medical device regulations standards while gaining certification for new products and/ or territories
* Some travel within the South of England as determined by the Company's network of suppliers and manufacturing partners. It may also require some international travel in support of the Company's systems, both those in clinical trials and in commercial deployments.



Company Overview:

* A growing start-up
* Producing a device that will offer a paradigm-shifting approach to beating cancer
* The device received European regulatory approval in 2015
* Currently deployed in pre-commercialisation clinical trials based at several cancer imaging centres throughout the UK, with EU deployments imminent.



Essential:

* Leadership or Management experience in a design, development, production leadership in Medical Devices
* Taking a product through design, development and production stages
* Experience of ISO 13485
* Experience of managing subcontractors



Desirable:

* Conducting supplier audit
* Proficient in the application of EU medical device regulations and related international standards including: ISO13485, Medical Device Directive, Medical Device Regulation, ISO14971. Also technical standards, including IEC60601 and IEC62304.
* Coordinating testing of Company product (e.g. EMC, ISTA)
* Experience of FDA design controls
* Demonstrable experience in establishing and successfully managing Design Projects for novel medical devices up to at least Class IIb
* Familiarity with radio frequency technologies
* Proficiency with CAD (e.g. Solidworks or Solid Edge



Remuneration: £45,000-£55,000
