Job Title: Sr. Supplier Relationship Manager

Location: Bedminster, NJ

Duration: 6 months

Compensation: $60-$65/hr, depending on experience

  • Works in partnership with Procurement to devise and execute outsourcing strategies
  • Collaborate across multiple stakeholders in identifying, establishing, validating and managing of the strategic flexible resourcing model and supplier network critical to ensure the successful execution of the Mallinckrodt clinical trial portfolio
  • Develop and provide expert-level knowledge, including knowledge of the supplier base and global market (prices and practices)
  • Anticipates external supplier issues and recommends innovative ideas to address current and future needs
  • Support development of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators evaluating the market and assessing suppliers; evaluating competitive offerings to determine the overall best offer for goods or services
  • Foster relationships with key internal stakeholders within Company and at suppliers
  • Independently manages multiple, complex projects and drives Change Management efforts related to categories
  • Lead the identification of potential outsourcing vendors, partnering with the clinical teams to ensure appropriate understanding of outsourcing needs
  • Interface with potential vendors to ensure a solid working relationship
  • Serve in an advisory capacity for the Request for Information and Proposal preparation process, including identification of potential vendors, development of project specifications, timelines, budgets and payment schedules (unit cost, milestone, etc.)
  • Contribute to the setting of formal strategies to resolve financial or operational issues which impact timelines, budgets, contracts, deliverables, and relationships
  • Support procurement driven sourcing strategy, including potential development of preferred partnerships to create and maintain effective business relationships with service providers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of needs and development of project specific needs
  • Establish and maintain appropriate and complete documentation and work processes
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators and metrics for Global Development Operations outsourcing activities

Educations/Skills Requirement:

  • BA/BS degree or higher, preferably in the Life Sciences
  • Must have at least 4 years of experience working in the strategic/outsourcing and contracts space
  • Must have at least 6 years of experience working in a Pharmaceutical/Biotech/R&D environment
  • Strong knowledge of the vendor management process
  • Experience developing a cross functional SRM program utilizing and developing Key Performance Metrics and Service Level Agreements
  • Strong knowledge of SRM including: category management, methodologies for measuring the value of outsourcing decisions (financial and qualitative), contract management, financial analysis, market analysis and supplier analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain calm, professional, diplomatic and positive
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Adobe
