Real Staffing Group is supporting the recruitment of Assistant Manager of Global Supply Chain Projects & Controlling to be based in Singapore for a leading Medical Device company

The Assistant Manager of Global Supply Chain Projects & Controlling is responsible for driving strategic projects by developing and managing projects portfolio of Global Supply Chain through sound Project Management, Lean Methods and Change Management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • . Project Management & Process Management (80%)
    • Possess expert knowledge for common methods to define problems, identify gaps in performance
    • Responsible for working with cross functional teams to maintain a long term commitment by evaluation
    • Responsible for increasing efficiency while minimizing cost and maximizing resource utilization through lean and continuous improvement methodologies
    • Work closely with relevant stakeholders for new product launches into the market
    • Analysing current approaches to identify opportunities to improve speed band effectiveness of project execution, materials, sourcing and workflow
    • Designing and improvement workflows
    • Contribute to gross margin growth
    • Participate in the development of the business plans and programs as a strategic partner

  • Supply Chain Controlling (20%)
    • Ensure proper controls over inventory and inter-company movements (domestic and international transfers)
    • Ensure inventory and operational cost systems are operating efficiently
    • Monitoring of KPI (e.g. service levels, quality of forecasts)
    • Identify opportunities to optimize costs and performance
    • Following up on financial impact of key initiatives/projects and evaluate the results
    • Producing monthly reporting of activity in a timely manner, respecting the deadlines, ensure data quality and communicate effectively

Key working relationships:

  • R&D, Marketing, Design Engineering, and operations team
  • External Vendors

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience; Project Management Certification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of Project Management & Controlling experience
  • Lead Six Sigma (green or black belt)
  • APICS ASCP, CPIM
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Viso
  • Solid cost accounting foundation, previous plant controller/finance is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluation and interpretation
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Operates independently, self-motivated and reliable
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
